The consortium is composed of 18 European academic partners, four European industrial partners (among them two small and medium enterprises), and one non-European academic partner. The combination of the partners covers the broad range of expertise that is essential to face the challenges in driving the work on quantum information technologies towards applications. The integration of world-leading research teams from a number of European Union member states, plus two partners from Switzerland and one from Australia, is essential for the success of the project as it offers a unique opportunity to combine know-how spread over domains treated previously as largely disparate.
