Today, the Intermediate Report from the Quantum Technologies Flagship High-Level expert group has been handed over to the European Commission.
QuantERA launched its first joint transnational call (Call 2017) for proposals worth € 34 M in support of transnational research in the field of Quantum Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies (Q-ICST).
Thirty research funding organisations from 26 countries throughout take part in the Call that has a deadline for pre-proposals on the 15th of March 2015.
The Call covers six main topics in the Q-ICST field:
In January 2017 the QuantERA Consortium will announce a Call for Proposals in the field of quantum technologies.
QuantERA is a network of 31 agencies from 26 countries, coordinated by the National Science Centre, Poland. With a budget of over EUR 34 M, including co-funding from the European Commission, QuantERA will support international research projects in the field of Quantum Technologies.
The Optoelectronics and Photonics Winter Schools are biannual meetings which address relevant arguments of Optoelectronics and Photonics. The School has the tradition to bring together a large number of PhD students and young researchers from all parts of the world who, in a one-week of an intense program, follow a series of lectures on selected topics. The lectures are held by internationally recognized experts in the field. At the same time, the students are encouraged to enjoy the beautiful location where the school is organized.
As follow up to the publication of the minutes of the Flagship Berlin workshop, we publish here below the minutes of the High Level Steering Committee meeting, which took place after the workshop.
we publish the minutes of the QT Flagship workshop that took place the 10th November in Berlin.

Research in our group focuses on quantum optics and technology. Quantum optics studies various phenomena in light-matter interaction, where the quantum properties of the light and matter play an important role. Quantum technology is an emerging interdisciplinary field, encompassing several fields of physics and technology. It aims to realize practical devices for quantum simulations, computing, communication and metrology.
The group conducts theoretical research on correlated quantum systems. Our main efforts focus on the physics of systems that constitute promising plateforms for concrete realization of quantum technologies. Together with other systems in condensed matter and quantum optics, ultracold atoms have already produced milestone results, which turn quantum technologies from dream to reality.
