While the hearing had a broader perspective, the first panel had a substantial part focussed on Quantum Technologies. Specifically, the presentation by Allison Snell on High Performance Computing discussed the effort in Quantum Computing, while the one by John Costello went in-depth on Quantum Information Sciences. This last one is in particular a precious source of information on the developments of Quantum Technologies in China, and can give some clues on the reactions these developments are likely to elicit from USA policy makers.
