VideoAbstracts is a collection of short 'home-made' videos in which an author explains the key points of one of his papers in front of a whiteboard.

In order to make such video abstract, researchers have simply used their webcam or digicam and then uploaded them to www.quantiki.org. The videos are then stored on YouTube and at the same time a link can be created on the arXiv. Viewers can leave comments on the content of the video and in that way stimulate discussions. Each VideoAbstract receives many hundred views from QI researchers, so it is also a great way of making your work visible.
