Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Nanophotonics
Associate Lecturer
Department of Physics Faculty of Science
Fixed term appointment up to 3 years
The group of Quantum InteRactiOns with Nanoparticles (QIRON), led by Dr. Gabriel Molina-Terriza at Macquarie University (Sydney) offers a post- doctoral position for a highly motivated scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in the field of Nanophotonics.
The position is associated with a recently funded Australian Research Council Discovery Project. The main aim of the project is the control and characterization of nanoparticles using the spatial modes of light. Our focus is on studying the multipolar interactions of light and matter for applications on metrology and spectroscopy.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be supervised by Dr Gabriel Molina-Terriza. The candidate is expected to play a leading role in designing and performing experimental projects to probe and control isolated micro and nanoparticles. During this project the prospective candidate will make use of the new fully equipped quantum nanophotonics laboratory at Macquarie University.
