Post-doc position on experimental topological photonics

At:
CNRS-University of Lille
Deadline:
8 January, 2017

The implementation of topological effects in photonics has recently emerged as a promising research avenue for the manipulation of photons at the micron-scale.  A qualitative step forward would be the study of topological properties in photonics in the presence of nonlinearities. We open a post-doc position in the framework of the ERC Starting grant Honeypol devoted to the experimental study of topological effects in polariton lattices, in which topological edge states have been recently evidenced by our group [1, 2, 3].

Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow in Quantum Information

At:
University of Nottingham
Deadline:
22 May, 2017

Applications are invited for the above post to work with Professor Gerardo Adesso on an ERC Starting Grant project entitled “Genuine quantumness in cooperative phenomena” funded by the European Research Council.  The principal goal of the project is to analyse and challenge the quantum-classical border from a jointly fundamental and applicative viewpoint.
