Postdoctoral position in theoretical quantum optics / photonics

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in theoretical quantum optics and photonics. The successful candidate will be working on

i) light-matter interactions in structured vapour cells and
ii) light-matter (plasmon) interaction in dielectric and metallic nanostructures.

These activities are part of an international effort with experimental groups at the Universite Sorbonne Paris Nord as well as with experimental groups within our Institute.

The research group 'Quantum Optics of macroscopic systems' is part of the Institute for Physics (http://www.physik.uni-rostock.de) at the University of Rostock, the oldest university in Northern Europe.

Candidates need to have a strong background in theoretical quantum optics / photonics and atomic physics, a strong academic record
