Location

A postdoctoral position in the field of superconducting quantum circuits is available in the
KVANTTI group, Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University (Finland), starting January
2016. Our group is doing research on quantum-level effects in superconducting devices, focusing
on the transmon and circuit QED architectures, and it is part of the Centre of Excellence in Low
Temperature Quantum Phenomena and Devices of the Academy of Finland.

REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS
We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated person, with a Ph.D. either in this field or in
areas of mesoscopic physics where similar experimental techniques (nanofabrication, cryogenics,
microwave measurements) are used. Theorists with strong interest in getting closely involved
with experiments are also welcome to apply. We will also consider doctoral candidates, provided
that they have a demonstrable strong background in this field acquired during their M.Sc. studies.
