Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in quantum key distribution (QKD). You will work on an EPSRC-funded project that aims at the theoretical study of a variety of QKD network configurations in terms of their secret-key generation rate, cost, and reliability, as well as their compatibility with existing/future optical communication networks. Of particular interest is the future generation of optical communication networks where multiple users wish to utilise the same infrastructure, namely, optical fibre, for both classical and quantum communication applications. In such hybrid quantum-classical networks, the multiple-access problem for QKD users as well as the crosstalk between classical and quantum signals will be analysed and investigated.
