There is an open postdoctoral position (one year, extendable), starting at any time from now, to work in a new research project led by Dr. Filippo Caruso in Florence (Italy), focused on quantum effects in biological systems and transport phenomena over quantum complex networks. It is based at LENS-Physics Department of Florence University, is theoretical and mainly about numerical simulations of open quantum systems to describe, for instance, transport phenomena in atomic systems, quantum optical schemes, and light-harvesting dynamics, also according to the specific candidate skills.
