The Institute for Quantum Science and Technology, University of Calgary (http://iqst.org) and the Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (http://www.iffs.uestc.edu.cn/) invite applications for postdoctoral positions in experimental quantum optics and quantum light-atom interfacing. The postdoctoral fellow will be affiliated with both institutions, but the actual research will take place with the group of Dr. Alexander Lvovsky in Calgary (http://www.iqst.ca/quantech).

 

You will work on challenging, up-to-date topics in quantum optics, in a young international group embedded in a world-class quantum institute. Calgary is a modern city with a booming economy and is located in the foothills of the Rocky mountains, offering various cultural, outdoor, and sports activities.

 

The applicant should have extensive hands-on experience with experimental research in at least some of the following fields: quantum optics, quantum light-atom interface, physics of cold atoms, analog electronics.
