ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young researcher who wishes to enhance his/her career in a friendly and stimulating environment. 

The successful candidate will join the Atomic Quantum Optics group led by Prof. Dr. Morgan Mitchell, in the context of a EC-funded project in collaboration with leading European research institutions and companies to develop advanced quantum random number generators.

The project will contribute to development of Gbps quantum random number generators based on the macroscopic quantum phenomenon of laser phase diffusion, in collaboration with Quside, a leading company in integrated quantum technologies.

 

ELIGIBILITY AND CONDITIONS

Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized Ph.D.-equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) preferably in physics, engineering, or related fields.

Candidate should have experience in experimental quantum optics, photonics, optoelectronics, or related fields.
