Palacky University in Olomouc is announcing the opening of a post-doc position in the field of theory of quantum communication with application to satellite links, within a project funded by the European Space Agency. The research will be primarily focused on quantum key distribution with faint laser pulses and single photon detectors and will include international experimental-theoretical collaboration.
Applicants for the post-doc position are expected to possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field of study, have previous experience in theoretical quantum optics (focus on quantum communication and atmospheric propagation will be a plus) and be capable of efficient communication in English.
An applicant should provide a structured CV, including list of publications and specifying research interests. Selected applicants will be then requested to provide copies of their diplomas and recommendation letters from their Ph.D. supervisors.
