Oxford Symposium on Quantum Materials 2011

Date:
2011-05-06
Place:
Wolfson College, Oxford

This meeting is an annual interdisciplinary forum to bring together experimental and theoretical physicists, chemists, materials scientists in and around Oxford to advance the science and promote direct collaboration between groups interested in novel quantum materials and phenomena. This symposium aims to highlight the recent developments in our research and hope to promote new results of the graduate students and early stages researchers by giving talks or poster presentations.

Furthermore, it is hoped that new avenues of collaboration will be found between different disciplines in Oxford working on related scientific problems.

To register and submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation please use: http://www2.physics.ox.ac.uk/research/quantum-materials-workshop-2011 or http://www.physics.ox.ac.uk/research/quantum-materials-workshop-2011 . The deadline for registration is the end of 20 April 2011.

The meeting will take place between 9am-5pm (registration and lunch is included) at Wolfson College ( http://www.wolfson.ox.ac.uk/ ) followed by further discussions in the pub (Royal Oak from 5.30 pm). The meeting (only at the Wolfson College) is sponsored by the EPSRC grant: EP/I017836/1.
