The newly founded theory group of the center for optical quantum technologies at the university of Hamburg announces phd positions in theoretical physics. The core research areas of the group include strongly interacting ultracold bosonic/fermionic systems, mesoscopic physics of ultracold Rydberg atoms, ultracold molecules, atomic/molecular systems in external fields and transport in time-driven systems. We offer a stimulating and exciting atmosphere in an international environment with a rich guest program, excellent education and collaborations on forefront research topics. We are looking for strongly motivated and highly skilled students who share the excitement of doing theoretical research, also with the possibility of a close link to experiment.
