Candidates should have excellent academic credentials either in Atomic/Molecular/Optical Physics or in Experimental Particle Physics. Undergraduate teaching may be required across the full range of the curriculum at introductory level, and at a more advanced level for specialist courses. Duties are expected to include teaching (and further development) of our advanced undergraduate laboratory. Small-group tutorials, as well as administrative and committee work, is likely also to be required. The candidate is expected to spend about half of their time contributing significantly to the research of their group.
