ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences (http://www.icfo.eu), Barcelona, Spain, is looking for a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist with a background in chemistry, who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will be associated to the Plasmon Nano-Optics research group, led by Prof. Romain Quidant. The offered position involves working on the synthesis of different kind of nanocomposite materials for biomedical applications. The successful candidate will be collaborating in a variety of tasks including optimization and scaling up of synthesis as well as physical/ chemical characterization of products. All this work will be carried out in close collaboration with several biomedical collaborators from all Europe.

REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS

The candidate should hold a degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) in chemistry. Experience in materials and polymer chemistry is highly desired.
