The Quantum Engineering Centre for Doctoral Training will train a new generation of engineers, scientists, research leaders and entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge to tackle the most important challenges in modern science and technology – harnessing the power of quantum mechanics to deliver quantum enhanced technologies.

This innovative Centre bridges the disciplines of physics, engineering, mathematics and computer science, working closely with chemists, biologists and interacting strongly with industry. As a student you will undergo an intensive 4-year PhD training programme that will give you an unrivalled breadth and depth of expertise across quantum information science and quantum technologies.

You will work closely with world-leading scientists and engineers from within Bristol and around the world, from academia and industry, developing the necessary engineering skills, knowhow and in-depth understanding of quantum information science to deliver world changing quantum technologies. We are currently recruiting a cohort of 10 students from a range of backgrounds and disciplines.
