We invite applications for PhD studentships (covers fees and provides ~25k/yr stipend), on the topic of the

Theoretical Physics of Hybrid Quantum Systems

This involves the theory behind interfacing different types of quantum systems e.g. diamond with superconducting, nano mechanical with photonic, etc. for quantum information/sensing/simulation purposes.

Applicants with a good background in theoretical physics are sought. We can assist with relocation to Sydney and have generous travel for conference/school attendance during the PhD.

To apply email CV to Prof Jason Twamley jason [dot] twamley [at] mq [dot] edu [dot] au (subject: QUROPE%20PHD) , www.qscitech.info, Department of Physics & Astronomy, Macquarie University. Note that non-English native speaking applicants must pass an IELTS/TOEFL.
