Applications are invited for PhD positions in our Lab in the physics department at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). Ongoing projects at the lab include theoretical and experimental research on quantum information, quantum computation and energy harvesting.

Requirements:

To be considered for entry, applicants must have completed:

• A four-year Bachelor degree or a Masters degree in a relevant discipline; or
• A qualification and professional experience considered to be equivalent;

Ideal candidates should be well versed in quantum theory, statistical mechanics. Experience in one or more of the following areas in highly desirable: information entropy in statistical mechanics, machine learning, generalized probabilistic theories and quantum computation.
