Location

There is a PhD position open in the group of Erika Andersson at Heriot-Watt University, to be filled as soon as possible. The work will be predominantly theoretical, to devise new schemes for Quantum Digital Signatures (QDS) and investigate their security. Experimental realisations are also performed at Heriot-Watt. Candidates with strong skills in quantum mechanics and mathematics and an interest in quantum information science are encouraged to apply.
Full funding is available for UK and EU candidates and part funding for overseas candidates.
Currently our team working on QDS consists of two postdoctoral researchers, one theory and one experimental, and one PhD student, also working on experimental aspects, supervised by Dr Erika Andersson and Prof Gerald Buller.
