in the area of "Physics of Matter", starting 15. of April or later

Candidates should have a corresponding PhD, or equivalent degree, several years’ of postdoc experience in the field of theoretical quantum physics, incl. many-particle quantum systems, nano mechanics or implementation of qubits in photonics, atomic or solid state systems. Close collaboration with the research groups, especially experimental groups, in the faculty of physics, and other faculties at the Vienna University of Technology are expected. The scientific success should be documented by high level grants (i.e. START prize, ERC Starting Grant, Emmy Noether grant) The initial probationary tenure track appointment will be made on the “Universitätsassistent” (equivalent to an assistant professor) level for up to 6 years. After a successful tenure evaluation, the promotion to a permanent associate professorship is possible.
