The NANO group of CQE is looking for a doctoral candidate to join the EU‐funded Marie Curie European Training Network (ETN) in Optomechanical Technologies – OMT. The doctoral candidate will be involved in implementing an optomechanical type of read-out scheme at microwave frequencies while gaining high quality doctoral-level training provided by the network partners.

We offer a highly stimulating research environment for experimental physicists with relevant training in condensed matter physics. As a member of our team you will be joining the national Centre of Excellence “LTQ” and get to use the top-level instrumentation of Low Temperature Laboratory and Micronova nanofabrication center, both part of the national OtaNano research infrastructure. Located at the Aalto main campus in Otaniemi, Espoo, the CQE is surrounded by the largest and leading innovation hub in the Nordic countries.

The  eligible candidate must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Finland for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment. We explicitly encourage female researchers to apply.

For details, see the announcement on Aalto University website.
