Experiment

Our research group explores and builds on quantum effects at the nanoscale occuring in individual well-controlled solid-state impurities. Our activity is developped along two lines.

  1. We investigate the physics of individual spins associated with point-like defects in wide-bandgap materials, combining the best attributes of atomic and of condensed matter systems for quantum technologies.
  2. We explore the use of spins in the development of quantum sensors that offer an unprecedented combination of high sensitivity and high spatial resolution.
