Quantum Polaritons

We explore possibilities to make quantum computation in solid state systems. In particular we work on interacting particles made of the strong coupling between light and matter in which the intrinsic nonlinearity is felt at the single particle level. Such particles, called polaritons, generated in ultra high finesse semiconductor microcavities can be used as building blocks in devices for deterministic nonlinear quantum computaion.
