QUROPE Quantum Information Processing and Communication in Europe

We would like to invite you and your students to Winter School on Quantum
Physics and Quantum Information, which will take place on January 27-30,
2014, in Olomouc, Czech Republic. The winter School will cover a wide
range of topics from experimental quantum physics and quantum information
in lectures that will be given by young experts in the field.

In particular, the topics and the speakers are:

- Quantum NV centers: Alexander Huck (Technical University of Denmark,
Denmark)
- Pulsed quantum optomechanics: Igor Pikovski (University of Vienna, Austria)
- Quantum dots: Ana Predojevic (University of Innsbruck, Austria)
- Trapped ions: Lukáš Slodička (Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech
Republic)
- Quantum plasmonics: Mark Tame (Imperial College London, UK)
- Atomic physics: Robert Sewell (ICFO – The Institute of Photonic
Sciences, Spain)

The winter school is free of charge. There is no registration fee; the
participants only need to cover travel and accommodation. However, the
number of participants is limited by the capacity of the venue and we
therefore kindly ask you to register before January 5th.
