QUROPE Quantum Information Processing and Communication in Europe

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you and your students to Summer School on Quantum Physics and Quantum Information, which will take place on July 16-20, 2012, in Olomouc, Czech Republic. The Summer school will cover a wide range of theoretical quantum information topics, namely:

• Information theory and quantum correlations
• Quantum Optics
• Quantum physics of atoms and ions
• Quantum physics of solid state systems

The lectures will be given by:

• Frédéric Grosshans (École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France)
• Peter van Loock (Max-Planck Institute for Science of Light, Germany)
• Myungshik Kim (Imperial College London, UK)
• Klemens Hammerer (Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany)
• Rene Gerritsma (Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Germany)
• Anders Sorensen (University of Copenhagen - Niels Bohr Institutet, Denmark)
• Mauro Paternostro (Queens University Belfast, UK)

The summer school is free of charge. There is no registration fee; the participants only need to cover travel and accommodation. However, the number of participants is limited by the capacity of the venue and we therefore kindly ask you to register before July 6th.
