Quantum Communications for ALL (QCALL) is a European Innovative Training Network that endeavours to take the next necessary steps to bring the developing quantum technologies closer to the doorsteps of end users. QCALL is empowering a nucleus of 15 doctoral researchers in this area to provide secure communications in the European continent and, in the long run, to its connections worldwide.
The QCALL Early-Stage Researchers Conference (ESRC) is a four-day conference on quantum communications, aimed at Master and PhD students as well as early post-doctoral researchers.
The conference will feature five well-known invited speakers, introducing each of the main topics of the conference. There will also be time for around 30 talks by other participants as well as a poster session. The topics covered by the conference will be:
The conference will be held in Mondello, Sicily, close to Palermo and only a 20-minute drive from the Punta Raisi International Airport.
The town offers lots of beautiful sceneries and a nice seaside, which in September is still warm enough to enjoy. The venue will be the renowned Addaura Hotel.

CONTRIBUTED TALKS AND POSTERS
The submitted abstracts will be evaluated by our technical committee, which will select the most interesting and relevant works for contributed talks and poster session.

CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The conference, alongside with invited talks, contributed talks and posters, will feature a social dinner, an excursion in the surrounding area and a film festival.

SUBMISSION AND PARTICIPATION INSTRUCTIONS
To apply to the conference fill in the following Form. Applicants should specify whether they want to apply for a presentation (talk or poster) or they just want to attend the conference.
If you wish to submit an abstract for presentation, please stick to the following guidelines:
File format: .pdf only
File title: ‘ESRC2019_Abstract_Surname’
File size: 20MB maximum
Contents: 50 words maximum abstract followed by a short summary of the work. Two pages maximum (A4 paper, 10pt font), including title, figures and bibliography.

CONFERENCE FEES
The registration fee is 300 GBP. This includes attendance to the conference, lunch and coffee breaks, as well as participation to the social dinner and the planned excursion.
The payment is to be made upon acceptance, which will be notified on or before the 17th of July. Payment information will be emailed to all accepted applicants.
