Dear all,
we are pleased to announce the 2012 iSense Workshop from 9.-12.6. 2012 at the Leibniz University Hannover, focusing on Geodesy with Intertial Quantum Sensors. The workshop will bring together the communities of applied Geophysics and Geodesy with the community of applied atom interferometry and quantum metrology. Experts from both fields will be giving keynotes on their research:
Jacob Flury (Leibniz University Hannover) - Satellite based Gravimetry with GRACE and GRACE Follow-on
Ludger Timmen (Leibniz University Hannover) - Absolute Gravimetry
Ceddric Champollion (University of Montpellier) - Field gravity measurements for geosciences applications: from mapping to temporal variations
Karl-Ullrich Schreiber (Geodetic Observatory Wettzell) - Rotation Sensing with Lasers
Mark Kasevich (Stanford University) - State-of-the-art in atom interferometry
Franck Pereira Dos Santos (SYRTE, Observatiore du Paris) - The LNE-SYRTE atom gravimeter
Bruno Desruelle (µQuans, Bordeaux) - Transportable Atomic Gravimeter
Kai Bongs (University of Birmingham) - iSense - Sensing gravity with guided atom interferometer
Holger Ahlers (Leibniz University Hannover) - Chip based Quantum Gravimeter
In addition to the Symposium there will be a School for advanced undergraduates, PhD students and junior PostDocs with student talks and discussion Groups to enhance the interdisciplinary research in Geodesy and Quantum metrology. The conference fee will be 100 €.
Registration deadline is the 15th of May 2012. For any questions please contact us at contact [at] isense-gravimeter [dot] eu.
We would be very pleased if you could forward this mail and the attached flyer. Thank you.
