Registration deadline:

Place:
Bad Honnef, Germany

Dear Colleagues,
we would like to announce the 602. WE-Heraeus Seminar: "Microwaves go
quantum"
to be held at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef (Germany) from November 17th
to 20th, 2015.

More information is availablte at
http://www.physik.uni-siegen.de/quantenoptik/m-go-q/index.html.en?lang=en

The main objective of this seminar is to promote the exchange between
the various branches of microwave-based quantum information such as
nuclear magnetic resonance, trapped ions, ultracold atoms, cavity QED,
Circuits QED, colour centers et cetera. Different aspects of
microwave-based quantum information are discussed such as: the numerous
possibilities in the field of quantum simulation which microwave-based
experiments offer, techniques to suppress decoherence, or the transfer
of optical in microwave-based systems and vice versa. To promote
exchanges between the various groups, there will be introductory
lectures about the different quantum systems before the invited speakers
immerge with their lectures deeper into the matter and present the latest
developments in the field of microwave-based quantum information.

There will be no conference fee. The conference, accommodation and meals
for all participants are generously covered by the Wilhelm und Else
Heraeus-Stiftung.

Please feel free to spread this info around and recommend PhD students
and postdocs to participate.

Best regards
The organizers
