Registration deadline:
2015-03-15 (All day)
Place:
Physikzentrum Bad Honnef, Germany

We would like to invite submissions for contributed talks and posters for the 589. Wilhelm and Else Heraeus-Seminar on

Continuous Variable Entanglement in Atomic Systems: Fundamentals and Applications,

which will be held from May 11th to 14th, 2015 at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef near Bonn and Cologne in Germany.

The submission deadline is April 15th. Information on how to apply can be found at

http://atom.physik.unibas.ch/heraeus/

The seminar will explore the physics of continuous-variable entanglement in atomic systems, including topics such as spin-squeezing, Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen entanglement, entanglement witnesses, parameter estimation, and quantum metrology. Implementation of these concepts in Bose Einstein condensates, ultracold atoms in optical cavities, atomic ensembles in vapor cells, and ensembles of trapped ions will be discussed. The list of invited speakers includes

Tim Byrnes
Michael Chapman
Marcus Cramer
Jérôme Estève
Carsten Klempt
Paul Lett
Lorenzo Maccone
Morgan Mitchell
Eugene Polzik
Margaret Reid
Monika Schleier-Smith
Jörg Schmiedmayer
Alice Sinatra
Augusto Smerzi
James Thompson
