QUROPE Quantum Information Processing and Communication in Europe

As part of the EC ongoing effort to chart and shape the evolving landscape of Future and Emerging Technologies, the FET Proactive unit launched a public consultation to identify promising and potentially game-changing directions for future technological research (see http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/ict/fet-proactive/fetconsult2012-results_en.html).

QUIE2T/QUTE-EUROPE has drafted and submitted a document titled "Quantum Technologies: Manipulating individual quantum systems for future technologies and innovation". The document, which can be downloaded here,  was endorsed by 73 of the most prominent scientists in the field including four Nobel prize winners.

The topic proposed has been selected and appears now as a new FET Proactive initiative (FETPROACT 3 – 2014: Quantum simulation) in the draft version of the H2020 WorkProgramme (http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/data/ref/h2020/wp/2014_2015/main/h2020-wp1415-fet_en.pdf)
