The Quantum Information and Measurement (QIM) meeting was initiated last year by the Optical Society to cover many of the exciting developments which employ quantum measurement.

The Institute of Physics Quantum Information, Quantum Optics, and Quantum Control (QQQ) Group is organising a 1-day meeting "Atom Interfaces to QQQ" at the University of Birmingham on 12 April 2013 to coincide with the European Young Atom Opticians conference there.

The aim of the QQQ group meeting is to foster links between research communities with a common interest in quantum coherence. The meeting therefore covers all aspects of quantum coherence in atomic, condensed matter and photonic systems.

The third review of the QUIE2T project will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on Thursday 14th March 2013. Venue of the meeting: Avenue de Beaulieu 25 (Room 0/S4), Auderghem, Brussels 1160, Belgium.

Registration deadline: 10 December 2012

Topical Research Meetings on Physics: Quantum technologies: taking concepts through to implementations

Abstract submission is now open for the Silicon QIP meeting on 14th September in the University of Warwick: www.SiQIP.com. The deadline for abstract submission is 11th July 2012.

The aim of this meeting is to bring together researchers interested in silicon qubits. Topics covered will include experimental and theoretical approaches to quantum spin control, device fabrication and electronic transport.

Registration will open shortly and is subsidized by generous sponsorship from five groups within the IOP. Please forward this email to those that would be interested.

The next Q-ESSENCE Consortium meeting will take place in Barcelona at the ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences on the 09-10.02.2012. The exact schedule of the meeting can be found on the INTRANET website.

The Q-ESSENCE project meeting will take place during the QIPC 2011 conference in Zurich. The exact time is 16:30-18:50 on the Friday 9th September 2011. A joint dinner will follow afterwards.
