Public call for applications to extend membership of the high-level expert group on quantum technologies


The call aims to include 12 new members from industries with interest in the Quantum Technologies

DG Connect, as follow up to the recent appointment of the High-Level expert group, has opened a public call in order to add 12 more members to the group.

The Call is aimed to industries with interest in the field of Quantum Technologies. Additional members will be individuals appointed to represent a common interest or organisations. Therefore, there will be two types of membership:

  • Type B members are "individuals applying to be appointed to represent a common interest shared by stakeholders in a particular policy area", hence they do not represent an individual stakeholder, but a policy orientation common to different stakeholder organisations;
  • Type C members are "organisations", which nominate their representatives and will be responsible for
    ensuring that their representatives provide a high level of expertise.

The selection Criteria are:

  • Proven and relevant competence and experience, including at European and / or international level, in areas relevant to setting up of large scale research and innovation initiatives and / or quantum technologies and / or in industrial exploitation of emerging technologies (all applicants);
  • Proven capacity to represent effectively the position shared by stakeholders (individuals applying to be appointed in order to represent a common interest only);
  • Competence, experience and hierarchical level of the proposed representatives (organisations only);
  • Good knowledge of the English language allowing active participation in the discussions (individual applicants and organisations' representatives).
