Postdoc positions in molecular quantum nanophotonics

At:
Universidad Autónoma de Madrid
Deadline:
28 February, 2017

There are two postdoc positions open to work on Modification of Molecular Structure Under Strong Coupling to Confined Light Modes. This project at the interface of quantum optics, molecular science, and condensed matter physics is financially supported by an ERC Starting Grant running from 2017 to 2022. All applicants should be highly motivated and enjoy working and collaborating closely within an international team.

Postdoc position on quantum optics and quantum computation

At:
Université Libre de Bruxelles
Deadline:

Postdoc Positions in cold atoms

At:
University of Birmingham, UK
Deadline:
20 February, 2017

The unprecedented control over cold atoms has resulted in extremely precise sensors such as atomic clocks and atom interferometers. Our lab has two main goals, one fundamental science and another technological development. From the scientific point of view, it aims to work on enabling concepts to asking very fundamental questions at the cutting edge of science. Technologically it utilises state-of-the-art methods with the potential to reduce the form factor of atom-based quantum sensors by at least an order of magnitude which would enable a step change towards commercial applications.

Post-Doctoral position on magnetic molecular systems with long-lived spin coherence

At:
University of Florence - Department of Chemistry
Deadline:
10 February, 2017

This project is related to the development of new magnetic molecular systems for quantum computing and molecular spintronics and foresees the synthesis, the magnetic characterization and nanostructuration on surfaces of magnetic molecules featuring long-lived spin coherence.

Post-doctoral Fellowship, Physics of Information and Quantum Technologies Group, Lisbon

At:
Physics of Information and Quantum Technologies Group, Lisbon
Deadline:
27 January, 2017

Postdoctoral Research Associate: Experiment & Technology Development

At:
National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, UK
Deadline:
5 February, 2017

The successful candidate will establish the measurement infrastructure for characterising optical hardware developed within the Hub consortium. In this role, existing NPL measurement capability will be applied to fibre-based systems and extended to chip-scale components and hardware for short-range, free-space applications. This requires interfacing NPL measurement facilities with devices developed by the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Quantum Communications Technologies.

Research Associate in Quantum Information Theory

At:
University of York, Department of Mathematics
Deadline:
20 February, 2017

The Department of Mathematics at the University of York is seeking a talented postdoctoral research associate to work with Dr Roger Colbeck as part of the EPSRC-funded project “Towards Practical Quantum Technologies”. The project will involve the study of classical and quantum causal structures and the connection to cryptography.
