The Department of Mathematics at the University of York is seeking a talented postdoctoral research associate to work with Dr Roger Colbeck as part of this project funded by the EPSRC’s Quantum Communications Hub. The project will involve developing models for one or two implementations of quantum random number generators, liaising with experimental colleagues at the National Physical Laboratory to ensure the suitability of the models.

The post is for up to 12 months to start in summer/autumn 2018. The precise start date is subject to negotiation, although a later start date may mean a shorter contract as funding is time-constrained.

The post is full-time, 37 hours a week, and salary will be in the range £31,604 - £32,528 a year on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

Please contact Roger Colbeck (email: roger [dot] colbeck [at] york [dot] ac [dot] uk) for an informal discussion about the role.

Closing date: 19 March 2018.
