The Hybrid Quantum Systems Group (http://hyqu.ethz.ch/) at ETH Zurich, led by Prof. Yiwen Chu, is looking for a postdoctoral researcher, starting after March 2021. 

The Hybrid Quantum Systems Group focuses on interfacing mechanical resonators, superconducting circuits, and optics for applications in quantum information. The general research direction for this position will be to explore the use of bulk acoustic wave resonators as a new platform for quantum optomechanics and the transduction of quantum information between the microwave and infrared domains. 

We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with interests in areas related to quantum information using hybrid systems. The position is especially well suited for candidates with a strong background in optomechanics and/or electromechanics, who would like to expand their knowledge of different physical platforms. However, anyone with a PhD in related fields is welcome to apply for the position as well. Specific experience and skills that would be highly valued include:

- techniques for measurement and characterization of optomechanical systems

- simulation and design of nano- and micromechanical devices

- familiarity with operating optical systems in cryogenic environments
