The Optoelectronics Group, led by Prof. Dr. Valerio Pruneri, at ICFO is offering a Post-doctoral fellow or research engineer position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic individual who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will work on our projects related to Quantum Communication (Quantum Flagship https://civiquantum.eu/ and https://qrange.eu/, European H2020 https://openqkd.eu/). These projects seek to develop quantum communication devices and systems. The successful candidate will be working on developing quantum technology for the industry.

 

ELIGIBILITY AND CONDITIONS

  • The candidate must hold an internationally-recognized PhD degree in engineering, Physics, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in experimental quantum optics.
  • Additional experience in simulations and signal processing and prototype development is evaluated positively.
  • The selected candidate will strongly benefit from a multidisciplinary environment with other research engineers, postdocs and PhD students working in quantum technologies. In addition, the project involves a close collaboration with others academic institutions and partner enterprises.
