We are organizing the Workshop “Entanglement in Strongly Correlated Systems” that will take place at the Centro de Ciencias de Benasque Pedro Pascual (http://benasque.org/) from February 14 to February 27, 2016 (http://www.benasque.org/2016scs/). Benasque is a beautiful spanish village located in the heart of the Pyrenees close to Aneto Peak, the highest mountain in the Pyrenees (3,404 meters -- 11,168 ft). The meeting will be the continuation of the one that took place in Summer 2014 (see http://benasque.org/2014numerical/).

The aim of this 2-week meeting is to bring together specialists in the field as well as newcomers at the interface of quantum information and condensed matter theory. The format of the event will alternate introductory lectures with specialized talks. More precisely, there will be 3 days per week with two lectures and a blackboard talk of 1:30h, with the aim of being introductory to relevant topics. During these days, spontaneous informal discussions will be encouraged by the organizers and announced throughout the day. Moreover, there will also be one day per week with a more busy workshop structure, aiming at having a number of specialized talks on recent important results, and another day to accommodate poster sessions and discussions on different topics. Our plan is to have a very rich and collaborative meeting.

The Center offers comfortable office spaces for everyday work. Major topics will be e.g. entanglement and entanglement based methods, topological phases and fractional quantum Hall states, low-dimensional magnetism and frustrated spin systems, quantum simulators and cold atoms, AdS/CFT, etc.
