FUTURE AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES QIFT OPEN DAY will take place on 15th April 2011 at University of Warsaw.
 

The purpose of the Open Day is to promote European research in Quantum Information Foundations and Technologies (QIFT) on a broad forum involving government, academia, media, and industry. The event will also provide an opportunity to discuss forthcoming initiatives in Future and Emerging Technologies. 

QUIE2T discussion round at Review Meeting in Oxford

There will be a 1h meeting of QUIE2T partners on Tue, 6 July from 5pm-6pm. We will discuss some open current issues, in particular the status of the VIs and future activities.  Apart from general points regarding the WPs, special emphasis wil be put to discuss the following topics:

FP6 and FP7 QIP Open Day

Oxford FP6 and FP7 meeting

Q-Essence project will have its session during the FP6 and FP7 QIP Open Day + FP6 IP Cluster Review that takes place on 6-8 July at Wadham College, Oxford, UK. The registration for the event is now open.

QUIE2T Virtual Institutes

Summary: 

As one of its central aims, QUIE2T WP2 has established the set of four Virtual Institutes.

QIPC Roadmap updated

Summary: 

The QIPC Strategic Report has been updated to version 1.7.

National ICT Directors Forums

Summary: 

The National ICT Research Directors Forum starts on Monday 12 April at lunch time and finishes after lunch on Tuesday 13 April.

The National ICT Research Directors Forum is an informal framework, through which representatives of national ministries responsible for ICT research policy and funding (typically research and industry ministries) and their Commission counterparts meet twice a year to discuss and develop shared visions and strategies for ICT research in Europe.

Elisabeth Giacobino (head of the QUIE2T advisory board) will represent the Information and Communication Technologies Advisory Group (ICTAG) and inform the participants about the major ICT trends.
